Layla Matthews has been with Exchange Bank since 2010 and currently serves as Cashier. She joined Exchange Bank as a teller and has progressed her career with many different positions such as Assistant Head-Teller, Executive Assistant at our Altoona Office, and she has worked in accounts payable before becoming Cashier in 2022.
In 2009, she graduated from Pleasant Valley High School in Jacksonville, Alabama and continued her education at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. In 2012, Layla transferred to Jacksonville State University where she pursued and completed a degree in Business and Accounting. Layla graduated in 2016 with a Bachelor’s of Science.
Layla also has a strong heart for her community by serving with many organizations such as United Way, Manna, Downtown Gadsden, Inc., Big Brothers/Big Sisters and many more. When asked what she likes about working at Exchange Bank she said, “I love working for a community bank where the upper management takes an interest in their employees and customers and really cares about them.”
